Enclosed CE-marked test benches for railway gearboxes and wheelsets

Enclosed test benches for railway gearboxes and wheelsets, with operating and acquisition software and CE marking. Electrical design, control software, documentation, risk analysis for CE marking, and conduct of the test campaign.

Enclosed test cell: interlocked doors, safety signage and machine-side control panel
A wheelset under test inside the cell, with the perimeter guards open on the loading side
Gearbox bench with the enclosure opened: supports, drive shafts and reaction frame on the bedplate

Test benches for rolling-stock components — gearboxes and wheelsets — built as enclosed cells with interlocked doors, status beacon and machine-side control panel: the machine tests the part while the enclosure protects the operator from a rotating mass of that size, and the two are one design.

The purpose-built operating software handles manual and automatic test, parameter acquisition and plotting, access control and test report generation — closing the loop through to the document the railway customer has to keep.

IN SY TO's scope covers system electrical design, control software design and development, technical documentation, technical analysis for CE marking with risk evaluation and mitigation, and the conduct of AIT activities: not support, conduct.

Role

R1 — System responsible for the electrical installation and the software; R6 — test campaign conducted. Scale: complete machines, new build. Customers: a rolling-stock overhaul works, a rolling-stock manufacturer and a railway component maker.
